CrossRC EMO X6 1/8 Brushed/Brushless RTR Scale Crawler

The CrossRC EMO X6 “Big Hippo” is a heavy-duty 1/8-scale 4WD crawler built on the latest evolution of the EMO X platform. Its forward-control cab, removable modular cargo bed and stamped-steel chassis create the appearance of a full-size expedition truck, while the low-centre-of-gravity drivetrain, portal axles and large-capacity battery compartment provide serious off-road capability.

The X6 is available in both 775 Brushed RTR and Hobbywing Brushless RTR configurations, allowing drivers to choose between dependable brushed torque and the increased power, efficiency and low-speed control of the Fusion 8IGHT FOC system.

Two Power-System Options

The Brushed RTR version is powered by a high-torque 775 brushed motor paired with a Hobbywing WP-880 ESC supporting 2S–4S LiPo power. It delivers predictable throttle response and strong torque for crawling, trail driving and towing.

The Brushless RTR version features the Hobbywing Fusion 8IGHT FOC integrated brushless motor and ESC system. Its 1800KV motor supports 2S–4S LiPo batteries and provides increased efficiency, powerful acceleration and precise FOC low-speed control.

Both RTR versions include a 25 kg 7.4V high-voltage steering servo, three auxiliary servos for transmission shifting and differential locking, and a 6-channel 2.4 GHz radio system.

Heavy-Duty EMO X Chassis

The X6 uses a heavy-duty stamped-steel scale frame with a carefully tuned low-centre-of-gravity layout. Its reinforced portal axles increase ground clearance and provide additional reduction at the wheels for controlled performance on rocks, ruts and steep trails.

Precision axle geometry, steel suspension links and reinforced mounting components help maintain stable, predictable handling across demanding terrain.

Two-Speed Transmission and Differential Locks

A remote-selectable two-speed transmission lets the driver switch between precise low-range crawling and a faster gear for open trails.

The front and rear differential locks can be operated independently from the transmitter, allowing the drivetrain to be adjusted according to the terrain without stopping for manual changes.

The transmission uses full-metal internal gears, metal bevel gears and a 60T M0.8 nylon silent spur gear. A self-balancing limited-slip assembly helps protect the drivetrain and reduce noise at the motor input.

Durable Drivetrain and Suspension

The X6 uses a metal universal-joint centre driveshaft, front steel CVD axle shafts and rear straight steel axle shafts.

Large-diameter 20 mm CNC aluminum oil-filled shocks provide controlled suspension movement, while steel rear stabilizer links help reduce unnecessary body roll during faster trail driving.

High-precision metal gears, special-steel drivetrain components, ABEC-3 bearings and wear-resistant nylon parts provide the durability needed for a large, powerful crawler.

Modular Utility-Truck Body

The finished polycarbonate cab is paired with a removable engineering-plastic modular cargo bed. Quick-release body mounts provide convenient access to the chassis, while the practical tow hitch and integrated accessories reinforce the truck’s expedition-ready appearance.

Some promotional images show an optional rear cargo-bed frame and canvas cover. These accessories are not included and must be purchased separately.

Wheels, Tires and Lighting

Custom CrossRC VELOCIRAPTOR crawler tires provide traction across rock, mixed sand and mud. The tires are mounted on lightweight nylon beadlock wheels with 15 mm wheel hexes.

The integrated high-output LED lighting system includes synchronized lighting functions and a strobe mode for added visibility and scale realism.

Ready to Run

Both X6 RTR versions arrive factory assembled and finished with the selected motor and ESC, steering servo, shifting and differential-lock servos, lighting system, receiver and transmitter installed.

A compatible LiPo battery, charger and transmitter batteries are required separately.
