The CrossRC EMO XL is a large-scale 6×6 crawler built around the proven 1/8-scale EMO platform. Its flatbed utility body, long three-axle chassis and six-wheel-drive system give it a commanding scale presence while providing the traction and stability required for rocks, steep climbs and demanding trail conditions.

The Brushless RTR version combines a Hobbywing QuicRun Fusion 8IGHT FOC power system with a remote-selectable two-speed transmission, remotely operated differential locks and portal axles. This provides smooth low-speed control for technical crawling together with the power needed to move the EMO XL’s substantial chassis confidently across open terrain.

Purpose-Built 6×6 Drivetrain

The EMO XL uses a drivetrain developed specifically for six-wheel-drive operation. All three axles are driven, providing six contact points for improved traction over loose surfaces, rocks and deeply uneven ground.

The front-to-middle axle spacing measures 375 mm, while the middle-to-rear spacing is 150 mm. This layout combines a stable primary wheelbase with a closely spaced rear tandem section, helping the rear wheels follow terrain changes while supporting the truck’s long flatbed body.

Remotely operated differential locks provide additional traction when required. The rear differential-lock control operates the two rear axles together, while the two-speed transmission allows the driver to select controlled low-range crawling or a faster gear for trail driving.

Portal-Axle Ground Clearance

Portal axles raise the axle housings relative to the wheel centres, providing approximately 96 mm of ground clearance beneath the chassis.

The 66-degree approach angle helps the front of the truck climb onto steep obstacles, while the 51-degree departure angle reduces rear-body interference when leaving ledges or descending uneven terrain.

Metal differential gears, a reinforced transmission and high-strength drivetrain components are designed to manage the load created by the 6×6 layout and brushless power system.

Heavy-Duty Three-Axle Suspension

The EMO XL uses 7 mm 304 stainless-steel suspension links with reinforced ball ends. Their strength and low mounting position help support the long chassis while contributing to a lower centre of gravity.

Large 21 mm CNC aluminum oil-filled shocks provide support for the truck’s weight while allowing the axles to articulate across uneven surfaces. The third axle uses a reinforced mounting structure, while the second-generation rear balance-linkage system coordinates movement between the two rear axles for improved stability and more consistent tyre contact.

Reinforced chassis rails provide a rigid foundation for the drivetrain, suspension and flatbed body.

Hobbywing FOC Brushless Power

The Brushless RTR version is equipped with a Hobbywing QuicRun Fusion 8IGHT FOC integrated brushless power system. Its 1800KV motor and integrated electronic speed controller deliver smooth throttle response, strong low-speed torque and controlled power delivery.

The system supports 2S–4S LiPo batteries, allowing the power delivery to be matched to crawling, trail driving or higher-performance use.

Scale Flatbed Utility Design

The detailed cab and open rear flatbed give the EMO XL the appearance of a full-size expedition, recovery or heavy-duty utility vehicle.

High-performance all-terrain tyres provide traction across mixed surfaces. Integrated lighting, grille warning lights and selectable lighting modes add scale realism, while the factory-installed sound features include controllable horn, alarm and entertainment effects.

Ready to Run

The EMO XL Brushless RTR arrives assembled and factory painted with the brushless power system, steering servo, transmission-shifting servo, differential-lock servos, receiver, lighting system and 6-channel 2.4 GHz radio system installed.

A compatible LiPo battery, charger and transmitter batteries are required separately.
