CrossRC EMO XX 1/6 Traction Version Brushed/Brushless RTR Scale Crawler

The CrossRC EMO XX Traction Version is an ultra-large 1/6-scale 4WD crawler designed specifically for demanding rock crawling and technical off-road terrain. Its enclosed Dakar Rally-inspired body, ROCK BREAKER crawler tires and heavy-duty EMO XX chassis create a distinctive combination of scale presence, durability and serious off-road capability.

Built on a 2 mm stamped-steel frame with a 520 mm wheelbase, the EMO XX features portal axles, a remote-selectable two-speed transmission and independently operated front and rear differential locks.

The Traction Version is available with either a dual-motor brushed system or a high-output Hobbywing brushless system. Both RTR configurations arrive factory assembled with the motor, ESC, servos, lighting system, receiver and six-channel 2.4 GHz radio equipment installed.

Traction Version Body and Tires

The Traction Version features an enclosed Dakar Rally-inspired body with a detailed interior and composite internal roll cage. A four-point quick-release mounting system provides convenient access to the chassis and battery compartment.

ROCK BREAKER crawler tires use a multi-edged tread pattern developed for rock faces, ledges and firm technical surfaces. The large tire footprint works with the portal-axle drivetrain to provide confident traction and obstacle clearance on demanding terrain.

Unlike the cargo-bed-equipped Truck Version, the Traction Version is focused on technical crawling and rally-inspired scale presentation.

Brushed RTR Power System

The Brushed RTR version is powered by two high-output 775 brushed motors operating in parallel.

Two Hobbywing QuicRun WP 880 ESCs manage the dual-motor system and support 2S–4S LiPo power. This configuration delivers strong low-speed torque and predictable throttle response for technical crawling, steep climbs and heavy trail use.

Brushless RTR Power System

The Brushless RTR version is equipped with a Hobbywing EzRun MAX6 150A ESC and Hobbywing 4985 1650KV brushless motor.

Compatible with 3S–6S LiPo power, the brushless system provides increased efficiency, stronger overall performance and greater wheel speed while retaining the low-speed control needed for technical crawling.

Two-Speed Transmission

The heavy-duty two-speed transmission allows the driver to switch remotely between controlled low-range crawling and a faster gear for open sections of trail.

Steel-cut and self-lubricating alloy transmission gears are designed to handle the considerable torque and vehicle weight of this ultra-large-scale crawler.

Selectable Front and Rear Differential Locks

The front and rear differential locks can be operated independently from the transmitter.

The differentials can remain unlocked for improved steering and smoother trail driving or be locked when maximum traction is required on rocks, steep climbs and cross-axle obstacles.

Portal-Axle 4WD Drivetrain

Portal axles increase clearance beneath the axle housings, helping the EMO XX travel over rocks, roots and deeply rutted terrain.

The reinforced drivetrain includes front steel CVD axle shafts, rear steel straight axle shafts, steel-cut bevel gears and heavy-duty universal-joint driveshafts. Full ball bearings support smooth and reliable power transfer throughout the drivetrain.

Heavy-Duty Suspension

The front suspension uses a three-link layout with a reinforced Panhard bar, while the rear uses a four-link system with a stabilizer link.

Large 10 mm aluminum suspension links provide strength and controlled axle movement. The 26 mm CNC aluminum hydraulic shocks feature adjustable spring preload and up to 40 mm of shock stroke, helping support the substantial vehicle weight while maintaining articulation across uneven terrain.

High-Voltage Servo System

Steering is controlled by a powerful 70 kg 7.4V high-voltage servo with an independent BEC power supply.

Three additional 25 kg high-voltage servos operate the two-speed transmission and front and rear differential locks. Integrated servo-protection systems help prevent damage caused by excessive current or incorrect operating travel.
