The CrossRC EMO XXL2 takes large-scale trail driving to an entirely different level. Measuring approximately 1.33 metres in length, this 1/5-scale 6×6 combines a modern off-road pickup body, long cargo bed and six-wheel-drive chassis with the advanced drivetrain controls of the EMO platform.

Its extended wheelbase and tandem rear axles provide a stable footprint across steep climbs, loose surfaces and uneven terrain. Reinforced chassis and suspension components support the size and weight of the vehicle, while selectable gearing and remotely operated differential locks allow the drivetrain to be adjusted for changing trail conditions.

Modern Large-Scale Pickup Design

The XXL2 uses a detailed contemporary off-road pickup body rather than the cab-over cargo-truck design of the original XXL Truck Version.

Its extended rear bed is formed as a separate scale component, giving the truck more realistic proportions and useful space for expedition equipment, recovery accessories or a custom scale load. Protective exterior components and an integrated multi-function lighting system complete its factory-finished appearance.

Available colours include Orange and Gunmetal Grey.

Six-Wheel-Drive Trail Capability

All three axles are driven, allowing six large off-road tyres to contribute traction. The tandem rear-axle arrangement increases ground contact and helps the vehicle maintain forward progress when individual wheels pass through ruts, holes or uneven sections of trail.

The long chassis provides a planted and predictable driving feel, while the closely spaced rear axles help distribute the vehicle’s weight across difficult terrain. Large-diameter tyres and generous axle articulation give the XXL2 the clearance and flexibility required for rocks, loose soil and demanding outdoor trails.

Reinforced Large-Scale Chassis

A heavy-duty stamped-steel ladder frame forms the foundation of the XXL2. The reinforced chassis rails use a 2.5 mm cross section to support the extended 6×6 layout and large pickup body.

Strengthened suspension mounting points, aluminum suspension links, balance bars and CNC big-bore oil-filled shocks help manage the weight of the vehicle while allowing all three axles to follow uneven ground.

Steel centre driveshafts, front CVD components and metal bevel gears provide durability throughout the drivetrain.

Two Speeds and Remote Differential Locks

The remote-selectable two-speed transmission allows the driver to use low range for controlled technical crawling and switch to high range for open trail sections.

Remotely operated differential locks provide additional traction when required. The drivetrain can be adjusted from the transmitter, allowing the driver to respond to changing terrain without stopping to make manual changes.

Choice of RTR Power Systems

The XXL2 is available in two assembled RTR configurations.

The 775 Brushed RTR uses twin high-torque 775 brushed motors with dual Hobbywing 880 electronic speed controllers. This configuration provides smooth low-speed response and dependable torque for controlled trail driving.

The Brushless RTR uses a Hobbywing 150A electronic speed controller and a high-torque 4985 1650KV brushless motor. It supports 3S–6S LiPo power and provides the additional output needed to move this substantial 1/5-scale crawler confidently across demanding terrain.

Both RTR versions include a high-torque 70 kg steering servo, auxiliary drivetrain controls, a 2.4 GHz radio system and installed lighting. A compatible battery and charger are required separately.
